Want to transform your recruitment?
The benefit of insight. The ability to deliver.

When many employers think of attracting new talent, most are likely to look at placing job adverts or using LinkedIn. However, it’s all too common to see organisations ignore what is perhaps their biggest marketing tool: existing employees.
For anyone looking at a potential career move, one of the best ways to judge if a company is the right one for them is to look at how happy those already employed by the business are. That doesn’t just mean creating an environment where staff enjoy their job (though as our ‘work hard, play hard’ ethos shows, this is important), but also demonstrating that the business is dedicated to the development of its employees.
As a case in point, our own Pete Boultby – who celebrated his three year work anniversary only last week – is a brilliant case study of how you can make it in recruitment. Having joined the team in 2011 as an account handler with a background in sales, we automatically enrolled him on our corporate training programme. Available to all new starters, this in-depth course guides staff through the four key stages of recruitment; candidate generation, client generation, interviewing skills and closing the deal.
While Pete had prior sales knowledge, he hadn’t yet had any recruitment specific training that we feel our staff need to deliver the best possible client and candidate experience. We’re very much of the opinion that an individual is only as good as the training they are offered – hence the reason we have implemented such a structured training regime.
Having thrown himself into this intense training with the commitment we look for in our staff, it wasn’t long before Pete completed the programme and went on to achieve brilliant results with the team. This success has led to incredible progression within the company, and in three short years, he has gone from a trainee recruiter to a director.
Now if there is any better way to demonstrate to candidates that Inward Revenue is a great place to work, I’d like to hear it!
